From the Chief Editor’s Desk
It gives me immense pleasure and a profound sense of responsibility to present the inaugural issue of E-Āntarikī, an online tri-lingual interdisciplinary journal of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University, brought out under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). This journal marks a significant step towards fostering a vibrant intellectual culture connecting tradition with modernity through the harmonious confluence of Sanskrit, Assamese and English research articles.
This journal is an attempt for exploration of knowledge that transcends boundaries of language, discipline and time. In an era characterized by rapid technological advancement and globalization, the preservation and promotion of classical wisdom alongside contemporary scholarship become not only relevant but essential. This journal aspires to serve as a dynamic platform where ancient insights and modern perspectives engage in meaningful dialogue.
The tri-lingual nature of E-Āntarikī reflects the commitment to inclusivity, accessibility and cultural rootedness. Sanskrit, as the repository of India’s profound philosophical and intellectual traditions; Assamese, as the vibrant voice of regional identity and lived experience; and English, as the global medium of academic exchange—together create a rich textile of knowledge dissemination. Through this integration, E-Āntarikī is determinedto encourage researchers to express their ideas in the language that best reflects their thought, while also reaching diverse audiences.
This inaugural issue brings together a range of scholarly contributions that represent critical inquiry, originality and interdisciplinary engagement. The journal welcomes research articles that engage with themes in literature, philosophy, culture, education, linguistics and all other social sciences. It is our vision that E-Āntarikī will gradually evolve into a reputed academic platform that nurtures young researchers while also attracting established scholars.
As an initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), this journal is also aligned with the broader goal of enhancing academic quality, promoting research culture and ensuring institutional excellence. It seeks to inspire a spirit of inquiry and intellectual rigor within the academic community, while maintaining high standards of publication ethics and peer review.
On behalf of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, I extend our sincere gratitude to all contributors, reviewers and esteemed members of the editorial board whose dedication and scholarly commitment have made this first issue possible. Further; I take this opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Pralhad R. Joshi, Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor, Prof. MallikaKalita, Rector and Dr. Manoj Kumar Sarma, Regisrar of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University for their support in bringing out this first issue of E-Āntarikī.
As we begin this journey, I sincerely hope that E-Āntarikī will emerge as a significant forum for knowledge creation and dissemination—honouring the rich knowledge heritage while engaging dynamically with the present and the future.
