Prof. Pralhad R. Joshi

Prof. Pralhad R. Joshi. Born in the year 1971 at Gulbraga (Now Kalaburagi) Karnataka, His parents are Sri Ramachary Joshi and Smt. Subhadra Bai, Joshi. Studied Sanskrit from his childhood under the feet of Pandit Vadirajacharya Agnihotri, studied in NV School from 6th standard to 10th standard. Passed 10th standard in the year 1986. His, Sanskrit teacher was NR Joshi sir. Later joined in NV Degree college for BA. where his Sanskrit study was further strengthend by Prof. Suresh Heroor. who introduced him to Sanskrita bharati (an NGO, working for revival of sanskrit, and started the spoken sanskrit movmemt in the year 1980) in the year 1990. Completed his Master’s in sanskrit with first rank and Gold medal from Gulbarga University. Later went to Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (now National Sanskrit University. Tirupati A Central University). Where he studied Shiksha Sastri (B.Ed) and Shiksha acharya(MEd) in Sanskrit medium with first rank. Soon after that he joined as faculty member in the department of Education. He has taught Sanskrit teaching methodology, Educational Psychology, History of Indian Education, Educational Technology, Teacher Education, Educational Research Methodology,statistics all these modern subjects are taught in sanskrit. Based on his vast teaching experience of 25 years he has wrote six books on different subjects of education in sanskrit. They are Sanskrit teaching, Teacher Education, Educational Technology, History of Indian Education, Micro Teaching, Teaching Practice. He also got administrative experience by holding the responsibility of HEAD, Department of Education, DEAN, School of Education, Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), CHAIRMAN BoS, Member, Executive council, member academic council. So for he guided 20 Research Scholars for their doctoral degree. He has brought many reforms in sanskrit teacher education programm, during his tenure as HoD he has included Shikshak prashikshan varga (A camp of ten days, where conducting ten days spoken sanskrit is taught to students of B. Ed. At present he is serving as Vice Chancellor of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies university, Nalbari, Assam
