About the Internal Complaint Committee
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University (KBVSASU), Nalbari, is constituted to address complaints relating to sexual harassment and to promote a safe, respectful and dignified environment for students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and other stakeholders of the University.
The Committee shall function in accordance with applicable statutory provisions, the UGC Regulations and the policies/guidelines adopted by the University.

Functions and Responsibilities of ICC
- To receive and address complaints relating to sexual harassment in accordance with applicable statutory provisions and UGC Regulations.
- To endeavour to resolve grievances at the institutional level through fair inquiry and appropriate redressal mechanisms.
- To maintain confidentiality and fairness while dealing with complaints.
- To conduct awareness, orientation, sensitisation programmes and workshops for students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and other stakeholders.
- To display and maintain ICC awareness information, including the role, functions and contact details of the Committee.
- To communicate relevant government/regulatory requirements through official University channels.
- To conduct ICC meetings at least once every six months for review, compliance, monitoring and pending matters.
- To maintain and publish the official ICC Office Order, committee composition, contact details and relevant policies on the University website.
How to Submit a Complaint
- A complaint may be submitted in writing to the ICC through the official channel designated by the University.
- The complaint should contain sufficient details of the incident/concern and any supporting material available to the complainant.
- The ICC shall process the complaint in accordance with applicable statutory provisions and University/UGC requirements.
- Proceedings shall be handled with due regard to confidentiality, fairness and the rights of the parties concerned.
Confidentiality and Fairness
Complaints received by the ICC shall be handled confidentially and fairly in accordance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
